Kindergarten Events

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024 we held an open house and registration event for students who will enter Kindergarten in the 2024-25 school year.  Students and parents engaged in activities around our school while touring the locations that our Kindergartens visit daily and meeting many of the staff members they will work with next year.  One of the stations featured a presentation by the Kindergarten team.  You can view the slides from their presentation here. 

Kindergarten Summer Assessments

In order to plan for the individual learning needs of our incoming Kindergarten students our teachers ask that families participate in our Kindergarten Summer Assessments. A Kindergarten Teacher will conduct this interview one-on-one to assess what your child already knows heading into the school year, with a few follow-up questions directed to the parent.  Parents will wait in the hall until the interview is finished.   

Sign up today for the Summer Assessments! Please only sign up for one time slot per child.  If a conflict arises after you sign up please choose a new appointment and contact Ms. Michalski, Kindergarten Teacher at @email to cancel the old appointment.

Registration Procedures

We're excited to welcome new Pandas! 

Registration for the 2024-25 school year will begin on Tuesday, April 2 at the FCPS Registration Website.

Please note that after completing the online registration steps outlined at the website linked above an in-person appointment will be necessary to complete the registration process.  All details and the required documentation are listed at the Registration Website.
