English Language Arts |
Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in English Language Arts. |
Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, all students will meet their growth target as measured by iReady (1-2) and SOL 3-6). 100% of our K students will meet PALS spring benchmark. |
Strategy 1 Align our Tier 1 instruction with the Science of Reading to provide differentiated, scaffolded and culturally responsive instruction for all students in reading. |
Strategy 2 Provide Tier 2 instruction as preventative intervention that targets the underlying difficulty impacting the student’s progress in literacy. |
Strategy 3 Provide additional Tier 2/Tier 3 interventions with support from the MTSS team and develop individual student reading plans in collaboration with families/caregivers. |
Mathematics |
Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in Mathematics. |
Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, all students will meet their growth target as measured by iReady (1-2) and SOL 3-6). |
Strategy 1 Using MTSS, teacher teams (CLT's) will make data based decisions to provide access to high quality, grade-level core math instruction that is differentiated, scaffolded, and culturally responsive for all students through the workshop model. |
Strategy 2 Leverage Tier 1 reteaching resources for small group instruction during math workshop. |
Strategy 3 Small group instruction to provide additional time & support for students in need of intervention. (Tier 2 & 3) |
Wellness |
Outcome: Ensure students feel safe, included, and supported in the school environment. |
Goal: Students will show improvement in self regulation on the SEL screener by 15% from Fall of 2022 to Spring of 2023. |
Strategy 1 Fully implement Responsive Classroom practices in all classrooms. |
Strategy 2 Provide Tier I resources to help with self regulation. |
Strategy 3 Providing Tier II supports to students demonstrating need for self regulation and/or social interaction support. |
Portrait of a Graduate (POG) |
Outcome: All students will complete a POG Presentation of Learning (POL) by 2025-26. |
Goal: As part of the Portrait of a Graduate and access to rigor goals, 100% of K-6 students will receive instruction from the classroom teacher using the Advanced Academic curriculum at least 1-2 times a quarter, as well as direct instruction on the Portrait of a Graduate focus of being a Goal Directed and Resilient learner. |
Strategy 1 Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs) will specifically plan for quarterly implementation of direct instruction on what it means to be a Goal Directed and Resilient learner. |
Strategy 2 Collaborative Learning Teams will specifically plan for quarterly implementation of different AAP Access to Rigor opportunities using at least three different AAP resources (Socratic Seminar, Jacob's Ladder, W&M Units, Jason, Reading Above, MM2 to MM3, etc.). |
Strategy 3 The instructional team and grade level teams will communicate both Portrait of a Graduate focus, as well as Access to rigor opportunities to families on a routine basis. |
