Teacher Biographies

Caroline Cincotta

Virginia Tech, Bachelor of Science in Education
George Mason University, Master of Education

Miss Cincotta was born in Massachusetts, moved at a young age to England, and eventually settled in McLean in time to graduate from Langley High School.   From Langley High School, she went on to graduate with her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and eventually earned her Master’s degree from George Mason University. 

Miss Cincotta taught second and third grade in Ashburn before moving to Fairfax County Public Schools.  She has worked at Franklin Sherman for 4 years now. Miss Cincotta considers McLean to be her home and loves working at Franklin Sherman because of the wonderful community.  

In Miss Cincotta’s free time, she enjoys running along the Washington and Old Dominion Trail and spending time with family and friends.  If you visit her classroom, make sure to say hello to her class pet frogs – Ivan and North!

Jamie Leitch

Penn State University Master of Education

Miss Leitch is a native of central Pennsylvania. Born and raised in the small town of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania she didn’t have to travel far to attend the Pennsylvania State University. Miss Leitch earned her Bachelor of Science degree as well as her Master of Education degree from Penn State University in 2012. She joined the Franklin Sherman Elementary School team as a preschool autism classroom teacher where she spent four years with some of our earliest learners. In 2016 she made the switch to general education where she joined the wonderful second grade team here at FSES. This is her second year in second grade and she is enjoying the new challenges she is faced with each and every day! Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about encouraging students to become the most independent learners they can be. She also is very passionate about behavior and ABA.

Miss Leitch has a dog named King that she enjoys spending time with when she is not teaching. She is a sports enthusiast and on the weekends you may find her cooking, baking, or at a Maryland Terrapins football game.
